Use Nemasys No Ants to deal with an ant infestation, without any of the precautions associated with chemical use. Apply when ant activity is visible on top of the lawn, which is typically April through to September.

Apply to moist lawns when the soil temperature is above 10ºC (50ºF) and water them in well. Make sure the lawn does not dry out for at least two weeks after applying nematodes. The ants do not tolerate the nematodes (Steinernema feltiae) near their nests and move their nests away from these areas.

What is Nemasys No Ants?

Nemasys No Ants is a product containing microscopic worms (nematodes) which are natural predators of ants. The ants do not tolerate the nematodes near their nests and move their nests away from these areas. Ants are not killed by Nemasys No Ants, but leave the area that has been treated.

Beneficial nematodes are living organisms, so they must be used before the expiry date (which is marked on the inside of the pack and will be around 2-3 weeks) and should be stored in the fridge until it is applied.

Why use Nemasys No Ants?

Nemasys No Ants is safe to use on turf or soil without any of the precautions associated with chemical use. Children and pets can be allowed on the area immediately after treatment.

How do I apply Nemasys No Ants?

When there are signs of ant activity, apply Nemasys No Ants directly on to the nests with a watering can with a coarse rose.

Are any special conditions required to use Nemasys No Ants?

Nemasys No Ants should be applied to moist turf or soil. If applying in hot weather it is better to wait till later in the day when the ground won’t dry out so quickly. Water well after application and keep well watered for at least two weeks.

How far away will ants move their nests?

This is very difficult to determine as it is dependent upon many factors such as soil structure, moisture content and weather conditions. However, it is usually far enough to solve the problem in the area targeted.

I bought some of this stuff 4 years ago (2012) due to an ant problem..... we couldn't sit anywhere on the lawn without being 'harassed' by ants. I bought the 50 Ant Nest Treatment, 12 week programme. Our lawn is MUCH bigger than the 50 ant's nest treatment, but hey.... i tried it, and it worked.! 4 years later (2016) i decided that it was time to do the whole process again as we were/are being blighted by the pesky little black things again. Bought the same 50 Ant Nest 12 week programme, and duly applied it as before. Only this time i was very disappointed with the initial results. Whereas before, even after the first of the 3 treatments, the ants had all but gone within a week as i recall, and i thought the next 2 treatments were just a waste of money and time. This time, after the first treatment i was left thinking what a waste, that didn't seem to do anything... Thank goodness i bought the 12 week programme.! The second treatment arrived, and again i duly went round applying as directed (exactly the same as i did 4 years previously as well). And i must admit, on the second application there were less 'obvious' signs of ant activity on the lawn.... except for the red/yellow ants, they still seemed to be thriving(?) I've just applied the third of the 12 week treatment, and to be fair as i was going over the lawn there was hardly any signs of ant activity this time. So as an overall summary..... it works, its expensive, buy the 12 week programme, and do as i did.... either put sticks/pegs in the ground where the ants nests are, and maybe (also) put some string lines across your lawn making squares etc so you can see what you've done and what needs to be done.
